I ported 5 themes available on Atom/ VS Code to Notepad++, adapted from. Go to AppDataNotepad++ folder Create folder Themes if it does not exists. To activate the dark theme for Notepad++ application, launch the Notepad++ application on your computer. Sorry didn't see this till months later but you have to overwrite the color scheme areas in the notpad2.ini file.
